i like to have a nice back rest whether im packing for an overnighter or two week trip but depending on your bag size it might be too tight or far to lean on. I use these offset washers on my pan head to be able to adjust my lean for longer trips.

Drill two sets of holes in your fender and peanuts are reversible to cover the opposing hole when not in use.
